When are volunteers needed: Twice a month at the Folk Hall in New Earswick. for all on the first Wednesday in the month from 6pm to 7.30pm and the third Friday in the month form 11.30am to 1pm.

Role description:
Volunteers help at the cafes supporting members, making a cuppa at the evening cafes, and supporting members purchasing their own refreshments at the day time cafes. We do not offer any personal care as members will have a carer to support their needs for personal are.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
Skills; being a good listener, and good communication skills. Listening to others without judgment, and respecting the opinions. Having an open mind to difference and showing respect to all who attend cafes and trustee meetings.
Behaviour; showing a kind and caring attitude to others, and being ready to help others without prejudice.
