We are delighted to announce that with the generous support of the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust’s York Committee Funder Plus programme, we are able to bring you a new programme of support for Chairs, Trustees and the organisations you lead.

Whether you are an experienced chair or trustee or new to the role, we know that like ourselves here at York CVS, you are facing challenges on many fronts: fundraising and sustainability, redesign of services to meet new and changing needs, and practical issues like re-opening premises and services.

We know that many of you want to develop your strategic planning processes but find it hard to create the space and time to do this.

This new programme will provide capacity to support you (and your employed staff, if you have them) with these challenges. Priority will be given to charities based in and operating in York, for the benefit of the residents of York, which align with the JRF/JRHT York Committee’s goal of solving poverty in York.

Our goal is to help groups in York survive and thrive into 2022 and beyond.

I encourage you to take a look at the draft programme below. We will be very flexible with the times at which we deliver this programme, recognising that some of you may require access at evenings and weekends. There will also be options for face-to-face and online support.

Angela Portz, external advisor to the JRHT York Committee is working with us to design and co-ordinate the Funder Plus programme. Please contact Angela if you have any questions about the programme: angela@aeportz.com
