This largely work-from-home post of approximately 5 hours per week is based around supporting a team of counsellors with a mix of experience. The counselling team is recruited and managed by the Trustees of our charity, and liaison with them will also be regularly needed. We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of work in the voluntary sector, preferably in counselling/mental health
- Understands the needs of our client group
- Can quickly develop an understanding of how our counselling service works
- Can support and motivate colleagues
- Would be confident about advising on sensitive matters like Safeguarding and Confidentiality
- Understands the implications of working to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
- Has good organizational and presentational skills
- Has well-developed interpersonal skills and develops and maintains effective professional relationships
