Hub Co-ordinator

Foxwood Community Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Hub Coordinator to lead our weekly Community Hub.

Our Community Hub is at the heart of the local community, providing affordable home-cooked meals, a welcoming place for people to meet, and access to advice and support from a range of partner organisations. Much of what we do is made possible by our fantastic team of local volunteers, and we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and making a positive difference.

As Hub Coordinator, you will:
• Plan nutritious weekly menus and purchase ingredients within budget.
• Coordinate and support a team of volunteers.
• Prepare and oversee the service of meals.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and food safety.
• Complete food hygiene records and cash reconciliation.
• Work with local organisations and support the ongoing development of the Community Hub.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone who visits the Centre.

We're looking for someone who:
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Enjoys working with volunteers and members of the public.
• Has good communication and organisational skills.
• Understands food hygiene and safe food preparation (or is willing to undertake training).
• Shares our commitment to supporting the local community.

About the Role
• 11 hours per week, typically 3 hours on Thursday and 8 hours on Friday.
• This is a self-employed contractor position.
• Applicants who are new to self-employment are welcome to apply. Foxwood Community Centre can provide information and guidance on how to register as self-employed if required.
• Training and support will be provided, including an induction into our policies and procedures.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• The successful applicant will be required to complete an appropriate DBS check

If you enjoy bringing people together, working as part of a friendly volunteer team and making a real difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.
