Connecting Our City is working in partnership with Beat, the UK’s Eating Disorder Charity, to provide a range of free support services for young people and adults affected by eating disorders across York & Vale of York.

The programmes include:

Bolster – the online 1:1 support service for adults with early signs of disordered eating

Momentum – the online 1:1 support service for adults looking for support with binge eating

SharED – the 1:1 peer support service by email for 12-25 years old with any form of eating disorder

For parents, carers and family supporting someone with an eating disorder:

Endeavour – the online support service for parents of young people 5-15 with ARFID behaviours

Developing Dolphins – online workshops for parents and carers of people with disordered eating aged 10+

Raising Resilience – online skills and self-care workshops for parents and carers of people with disordered eating aged 10+

Nexus – the 1:1 telephone coaching service for parents and carers of people with disordered eating aged 13+

Carers can also register free for access to a range of online learning and resources through POD – the Peer Support Platform

Teachers can also access free training and resources online through SPOT – the School Professionals Online Training platform

To access any of the support services, no formal eating disorder diagnosis is needed.
