The Call for Events is now open for the York Disability Week 2024. Participants can submit their entries online, via email, or by phone at 01904 702060 for assistance with the submission process. To be included in both the printed and online programme, submissions should be completed by the end of 24 October 2024, or earlier if possible. Those interested in discussing their ideas, no matter how tentative, are encouraged to get in touch. While the organisers cannot arrange the event, they may be able to provide some guidance.

As usual, small grants are available to help with access or other running costs, so interested parties should enquire if this would be beneficial.

With access to the city centre restored for Blue Badge holders, it is expected that some events will take place there, while others will be held throughout the city. For those considering an online or hybrid event using Eventbrite for bookings, please note that charges now apply if there are more than 25 participants.

A FREE printed and digital programme will be produced, and the week’s events will also be promoted through social media and the website.

Finally, volunteers and organisations are encouraged to join the YDW planning group. The group is described as friendly and supportive, helping each other to avoid becoming overwhelmed. Those interested should reach out.

Let’s make it another great year for York Disability Week!
