This week is Small Charities Week (14-19 June), a week dedicated to celebrating the contribution that small charities make to communities throughout the UK and across the world! The campaign is delivered by The FSI, NCVO, NAVCA, Local Giving and Small Charities Coalition, who are all passionate about the work of the Small Charity Sector.

Each day has a specific theme:

We Love Small Charities Day – 14 June

Today is I love Small Charities Day (#ILoveSmallCharities Day). Hosted by NAVCA, a national membership body specifically for local sector support and development organisations (also known as local infrastructure) in England (York CVS is a member), the day provides an opportunity to share all the reasons why you love small charities.

How to get involved:

1. Take a photo of yourself holding up a poster that reads:

“I love (your charity’s name) because (why you love them)”.

Then simply post it to either Twitter, Instagram or the Small Charity Week Facebook page, depending which social media your supporters participate in. Make sure you include the #ILoveSmallCharities hashtag when you post your photograph. Printable poster templates in PDF and Word format are available to to download, but you are welcome to make your own.

2. Join the social media campaign to help get small charities noticed:

Use the #SCWeek2021 in your social media messages throughout Small Charities Week – the aim is to raise awareness of the UK Small Charity Sector making a difference across the world.
