Digital Friendly York is a partnership of organisations working together to ensure that everyone in York has the choice and opportunity to get online, improve their digital skills and know where to access help when they need it.
The partnership aims to make sure that residents can benefit from digital technology in a way that works for them, while recognising that non-digital solutions remain important.
Their objectives
We want to:
-
Build a coordinated, collaborative approach to digital inclusion across York.
-
Provide information, advice and guidance so residents can access the services they need digitally while promoting informed choice.
-
Identify and address areas of digital exclusion, working together to provide solutions.
Their network
The Digital Friendly York network meets quarterly and includes organisations from across the city such as City of York Council, York CVS, Age UK York, Citizens Advice York, Explore Libraries, Blueberry Academy, Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, and many more.
