Yorkshire Energy Doctor CIC are running a series of free training courses thanks to funding from Northern Gas Networks. These courses are free to individuals from public/voluntary sector organisations and community groups in Yorkshire, the Northeast and Cumbria.

It is expected that the typical energy bill will top £3,000 per year on 1 October when the next energy price cap comes in. This is going to make next winter extremely difficult and challenging for so many households.

The Community Energy Ambassador training courses will equip attendees with skills and knowledge to understand the current energy crisis, ways to reduce energy use in the home, how to navigate energy bills and energy suppliers, and provide useful information on the schemes available to try to help others to be safe, warm and well over the winter. They will also provide resources that you can be shared with others too.

The free courses are held on Zoom and dates are available between September and December.
