Healthwatch York wants to hear what you know about them and the work that they do. They are currently running a “Your experiences of Healthwatch York” survey so they can understand how well they are doing at representing your views on health and social care.

Healthwatch York aims to put you at the heart of health and social care services in the city. This survey looks at how much people in York know about their work, such as:

  • Their signposting, information and advice work, including guides to mental health and wellbeing and dementia support
  • Their reports, including their recent reports on mental health crisis care and changes to the adult ADHD and autism assessment pathway

The survey also asks what they could be doing differently, or better.

If you live, work or study in York then this survey is for you!

Siân Balsom, Healthwatch York Manager confirmed:

“One of the challenges of being a local Healthwatch is that people don’t need to know about us until they do. But if you are struggling to find the right health support, or have questions about your social care options, we’re here to help.

We also know that the more we hear from everyone in our city, the more effectively we can raise these voices and help drive positive change. So, this survey is about helping us understand how much people already know about the work we do, encouraging more people to share what matters to them, and asking how we can keep improving what we do to have even more impact.”

Surveys should be completed and returned by 31 October.

Copies of the survey in any other format can be requested by contacting the Healthwatch York office: by email at healthwatch@yorkcvs.org.uk or by phone 01904 621133.
