Ygam deliver workshops for professionals working with children and young people on how to spot the signs of gaming and gambling harms. Our training is City and Guilds Assured and provides professionals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be able to facilitate conversations around gaming and gambling, how to recognise the signs of harm, and know where to signpost for support.
Upon completion of their workshop, you will receive a certificate (to evidence as CPD), digital credential, and free access to a bank of online downloadable resources to implement into your practice.
The recent publication of the NICE Guidance recommends healthcare professionals should ask about gambling, particularly when mental health concerns have been reported. However, many professionals remain unsure of how to approach this subject and are unaware of how gambling is embedded in video games, social media, and digital platforms. With 62% of young people seeing gambling adverts online and gambling-style features like loot boxes normalising risky behaviours, early intervention is more important than ever.
If you have 10 staff or more, Ygam can organise a free 2.5-hour workshop.
