#TalkMoney campaign is running from Monday 3 November to Friday 14 November (including National Talk Money Week 3 – 7 Nov)
We’re supporting Talk Money Week, which aims to break down barriers and make it easier for people to share their thoughts and feelings about money.
It can be difficult to start the conversation about money. That’s why #TalkMoney Week is a great opportunity to kickstart a conversation with friends, family or colleagues. In fact, building money conversations into our everyday lives can help us build the financial confidence and resilience needed to face whatever the future has in store for us.
If you’re not sure where to start, why not #StartTheConversation to improve financial wellbeing using the guidance available on MoneyHelper.
York Talk Money aims to support people who are struggling financially. Advice services have come together to promote the support and information available.

#StartTheConversation to improve financial wellbeing York Talk Money Week 2025
With the current cost-of-living pressures, getting support for money worries is more important than ever.
People who talk about money:
- make better and less risky financial decisions
- have stronger personal relationships
- help their children form good lifetime money habits
- feel less stressed or anxious and more in control.
Talking about money can help build financial confidence and resilience to face financial problems in the future.
Financial confidence is about feeling comfortable and in control of your financial position. It means having the knowledge and confidence to make the most of your money. Both on a day-to-day basis, and through planned and unplanned events.
