To mark Social Prescribing Day 2026, our York CVS Social Prescribing Team are organising a ‘Social Stroll’ on Wednesday 25 March, from 12pm – 1pm, starting at the Priory Street Centre.
Everyone is invited to join to meet our York Social Prescribing Team, have a nice stroll and socialise! This will be a slow and steady stroll and no booking is required.
What is Social Prescribing Day?
Social Prescribing Day is an annual celebration of social prescribing, recognising Social Prescribing Link Workers, local community groups and regional and national organisations which support people’s health and wellbeing.
This year’s Social Prescribing Day takes place on Thursday 26 March. As well as celebrating a day early with our York Social Stroll, we’ll also be highlighting the positive impact Social Prescribing makes across York.
