The latest podcast episode from York Ending Stigma is now available. York Ending Stigma (YES) is a group of York residents with life experience of poor mental health and who share these experiences in order to help end the stigma, remove the taboos, and challenge the stereotypes around the topic of mental health.
In the latest podcast episode five YES Champions talk about their experiences of volunteering and the (mostly) positive impact it has had on their mental health.
The episode explores the importance of ‘good’ volunteering and aims to bust some of the myths around unemployment and volunteering.
Please note: This episode contains reference to family death and a brief reference to suicidal crisis leading to positive volunteering experiences for one YES Champion.
