Growing Hope York, a new charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs, officially launched on Friday 4 July at Holy Trinity Church, Heworth, with the support of the Lady Mayoress of York, Elizabeth Rowley.
Growing Hope York is a partnership between Growing Hope, a national charity, and Holy Trinity Church, Heworth, where therapy sessions will be based. The service will also provide accessible group support for parents and carers. One such course, ‘When Dreams Change’, offers a safe and supportive space for parents of children with additional needs to process feelings of grief, loss and hope, as they navigate unexpected journeys and challenges.
To continue offering these vital services for free, Growing Hope York needs ongoing financial support. They are inviting local businesses, community groups, and individuals to partner with them to fund more therapy sessions and support groups.
