Safeguarding Week 2024 is happening from 17 – 21 June. This year’s theme is ‘Safeguarding is everybody’s business’. During the week, an extensive programme of learning events, seminars and interactive sessions will be held to underpin this year’s theme.
There will be a wide range of topics covered this year, some open to professionals working in the safeguarding sector, whilst the majority are also open to the public. Experts will deliver sessions that are designed to stimulate discussion, spark innovation and share best practice.
Topics covered include:
- Modern slavery
- Drug and alcohol use
- Learning from local and national reviews
- Domestic abuse and more
Safeguarding Week is in partnership with Safeguarding Adults Boards, Children’s Safeguarding Partnerships and Community Safety Partnerships across North Yorkshire, the City of York, East Riding and Hull.
