Safeguarding Week Online Conference
This week is Safeguarding Week (21-25 June) and partners from Safeguarding Adults Boards, Children’s Safeguarding Partnerships, Community Safety Partnerships across North Yorkshire, the City of York and East Riding have come together to develop an extensive programme of learning events, seminars and interactive sessions. The programme of events will be delivered virtually throughout the week providing ease of access for all attendees.

Public-facing sessions will raise awareness of key issues and provide insight into how every member of the public can play a key part in safeguarding themselves, their families and the wider community – reinforcing the key message of the week that ‘Safeguarding is everybody’s business’.
FREE WEBINAR: Cybertrauma and the Online Harms Bill

To mark Safeguarding Children Week 2021, the National Lottery Safeguarding Training Fund Partnership West Yorkshire and York present a talk from Online Harms and Cybertrauma Advisor Catherine Knibbs on Cybertrauma and the Online Harms Bill.
The session will cover:
- Sexual abuse online
- Pornography use
- Cyberbullying
City of York Children’s Safeguarding Partnership (CYSCP) Newsletter
If you work with children and young people within the City of York, you can sign-up to the CYSCP monthly newsletter which contains information from various partners regarding services being offered for children, young people and families, policies and procedures which have been updated or launched and safeguarding training. Training for child safeguarding leads
The City of York Safeguarding Children Partnership has commissioned a series of training courses for practitioners and volunteers working regularly with children and young people directly or indirectly in York. For more information, please visit the safer children website.
