Thursday 2 April, 1pm – 3pm, online (Zoom)

From April 2026, HNY ICB becomes a strategic commissioner and this webinar will show how VCSE partners can shape future priorities.

From 1 April 2026, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take on a new role as strategic commissioners, following the NHS’s new operating model set out in Fit for the Future – the 10 Year Health Plan for England. This represents a significant shift in how decisions are made, priorities are set, and how partners work together.

Humber and North Yorkshire (HNY) ICB has a longstanding commitment to working in partnership with the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, recognising the vital role VCSE organisations play in improving population health, preventing ill health, and supporting communities.

This webinar is an opportunity for VCSE organisations to:
  • Understand what the new ICB role means in practice
  • Hear directly from ICB leadership about the future direction and priorities
  • Explore how VCSE organisations can influence and shape the new system
  • Discuss where the VCSE sector fits in areas such as neighbourhood working and family health
As the ICB transitions into this new way of working, there will inevitably be changes in how it operates, how it engages with partners, and how decisions are made. This session is designed to be open, informative and forward-looking, helping VCSE organisations prepare for and engage with what comes next.

The HNY ICB Chair, Jason Stamp, and Chief Executive, Teresa Fenech, will share their vision for the ICB and how the new structure is intended to support effective strategic commissioning — with VCSE partners as a key part of that picture.
