Role description:
Working as part of the board of Directors, you will have a great opportunity to shape the future of Partners in Dementia at an exciting point in our history.
Whether you have experience and want to share it, or a passion to get involved and want to learn, then we could have the role for you.The roles are voluntary. You will need time to undertake the activities required within the role, usually around 8 hours per month, and other board responsibilities. These include attending regular board meetings.
Director roles allow you to gain experience working at a board/strategic level and learn what is involved, so no previous experience as a Director is required. While some of our Directors have personal or professional experience of dementia and/or caring, this isn’t necessary and we welcome everyone who would like to get involved.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
We are seeking an individual to lead our finance activities. The role supports our organisations finance functions, including:
• Lead an audit of our organisations financial health and make recommendations.
• Producing management reports.
• Help us to set up easy to use processes e.g. invoicing, which other
colleagues can follow.
• Support managing day to day tasks.
• Preparing a small payroll.
• Support other Directors in introducing new financial policies for our
Governance.
Partners in Dementia has ambitious plans for the future, which will require careful financial planning and monitoring.
