Role description:
The Good Mental Health Project Communications Volunteer will support the staff team in creating content to share on social media and other communications activities to enhance and promote the work of the project and the impact it is making in York.
What is The Good Mental Health Project?
The Good Mental Health Project promotes positive mental health and supports suicide prevention across York by working with communities, businesses, and education settings to raise awareness and reduce stigma. Through collaboration, education, and practical tools, it empowers individuals to take simple steps toward better mental wellbeing and support others.
This role will support the content creation and delivery of a communication plan and campaigns aimed at raising awareness and engagement with the projects and activities of The Good Mental Health Project.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
· Strong written communication skills and ability to create clear, engaging content.
· Experience in communications planning or marketing is desirable.
· Understanding of York CVS and the community and volunteer sector is an advantage but not essential.
· Ability to work collaboratively within the team and across internal teams.
