Over the last 16 years, volunteers in York have marked International Women’s Day (8 March) with events to honour women’s achievements locally and globally and work towards more knowledge and practical ways of effecting change in women’s lives.
York’s International Women’s Week is taking place 2 – 10 March 2024. The theme this year is “One City, Many Women’s Voices” and will host a programme full of events across the city and some events in hybrid format, aiming to make events as accessible as possible.
There is a wide range of events happening, from talks to crafting, wellbeing to music, clothes swapping to exhibitions and more. Most events are free, while some may ask for an optional donation.
