York Talk Money from Monday 5 November to Friday 15 November is encouraging people to do at least one thing to work on your money fitness now.

It doesn’t have to be big. Make it happen:
1. Decide on your ‘one thing’
2. Tell everyone about it
3. Encourage others to do the same!

It is even more important than ever to #DoOneThing to make sure our finances are in the best shape. Check to make sure you are not

  • missing out on financial support
  • spending more than you need to on essentials

Financial fitness, or wellbeing, is about feeling comfortable and in control of your financial position. It means having the knowledge and confidence to make the most of your money. Both on a day-to-day basis, and through planned and unplanned events.

Many people in York are struggling to stay afloat. During this campaign, there are various ways you can help to support and spread the message for residents.

Here are some ideas for your organisation to be involved during Yolk Talk Money 2024.

  • Add info to your newsletters and mailings
  • Post on Social media and share others
  • Join the community drop-in events
  • Generally, encourage people to take a look and/or come along

The Live Well York pages have been updated www.livewellyork.co.uk/talkmoney as well as specific page for the campaign https://www.livewellyork.co.uk/information-and-advice/money-legal/talk-money-week
