We’re really excited to officially launch York Volunteers – the city’s new volunteer centre!
The volunteer centre, which is part of York CVS, helps match people looking to volunteer their time with local charities and charitable organisations looking for help.
The centre is currently advertising a number of different roles, some related to COVID-19 support and others which directly help charitable organisations to deliver their vital services within the city.

Drew Richardson, Volunteer Centre Coordinator at York Volunteers, said:
“There are lots of opportunities to choose from to suit different interests and the time you have available to volunteer. Giving just a little of your time can make such a big difference within our local communities, and there are always groups in need of some extra help, especially at the moment, so please do get in touch if you would like to find out how you can get involved”
Support for your VCSE Organisation
The Volunteer Centre also provides direct support to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations with the volunteer recruitment process, as well as hosting a Volunteer Management Forum which brings local volunteer managers together to network and share best practice.
