Monday 10 October to Friday 11 November is #YorkTalkMoney Month: encouraging and inspiring everyone to take control of their money.
Rises in the cost of living has made it more important than ever that people in York are able to get all the support available to them to maximise their incomes and reduce their out goings.
To provide support, a partnership of money experts have come together to host a month of various activities, events and signposting to resources called ‘York Talk Money’. Together, they’ll be supporting residents to manage household budget, stay on top of bills and payments, cut costs and advice on building up savings. A pool of resources from a range of experts is available on their website: York Talk Money | Live Well York. This includes advice and support from partners.
The aim of York Talk Money Month is to support York residents to:
- Feel more confident about managing your money
- Know where to get good information and advice
- Know what financial support is available and how to get it
- Be confident about getting the best deal on your bills, such as gas, electricity and internet
- Know where to get debt advice to help deal with problem debts
- Know where you can go for support, if you need more help
