On the 8th December, we had our 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Members and non-members came together to hear updates from the past year, more about our future plans and to hear guest speakers.
David Harbourne (Chair of Trustees) introduced the meeting and was followed by Richard Westen (Treasurer), who talked us through the Annual Report and Accounts.
Alison Semmence (CEO) then gave a us an overview of the 2021, thanking Trustees and staff for all of their hard work throughout the year, and their continued dedication to improving lives during the Covid-19 pandemic. Catherine Scott from the York MCN Network followed this to give a breakdown of the results of York’s Cultural Values survey.
Finally, we heard from Sophia Parker, Director of Emerging Futures, from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. She shared some startling statistics on poverty and the impact of the pandemic.
