Role description:
What is a Young Adult Carer Volunteer?
Someone willing to help staff with the day to day running of the service to support unpaid Young Adult Carers aged 18-25 in York.
You will have the opportunity to learn project leadership, support planning, event coordination, 1:1 support tools and techniques, project promotion, communication and experience, within a vital charity sector.

We are keen to offer opportunities that match your interests, capacity and skills.
We have a recruitment and induction process and ask for at least 1 reference. All volunteers will have access to induction training such as Carer Awareness Training, Safeguarding Training, Young Carers, Young Adult Carers and Adult Carers online Training, as well as any other free training that is made available to us.
In addition you will have access to daily staff support and feedback from the Young Adult Team Leader and overarching support from the wider team, as well as opportunities to connect with other volunteers.
